Anybody else plan on throwing EY under the bus during recruitment for unlimited PTO? Give the students the brass tacks as to why it’s bad while our firms still don’t do it?

I would appreciate it if you guys were more transparent during my recruiting process. Didn’t go B4 but the whole selling risk consulting as true consulting is literally snake oil. Please don’t perpetuate the cycle

like

I didn’t hate IT audit, but being shifted to advisory with the split of work was definitely the better option.

It'll make it harder for EY to recruit for sure. Since some of the tech firms have switched to unlimited I think there's a broader awareness among students about why unlimited PTO is a scam. I wouldn't blame you for using it against EY

like

EY1, you clearly didn't read the email. It's a "competitive advantage" 😂

funnylike

Fairly sure most people understand unlimited PTO is not a benefit at this point no matter how companies try to spin it

like

If students today are as gullible as I was then it’s worth warning them again. Especially at the lower grade levels (leadership conferences and internships)

like

Recruit them to what? Our particular color of equally bitter Kool Aid?

Slightly less bitter tho

Anyone hiring those who have been out of work for a year? I took time off to tend to personal matters, but I am now looking to get back into the workforce again. My previous experience includes time at B4 audit up to senior level and then transitioned to manager in industry. Senior/manager roles are preferred.

I don’t mind audit. However, I’d prefer it not to be at a B4, as I am looking for some semblance of a work life balance.

DM me if you have something above, thanks.

I have an offer from Coforge and joining date is in exactly a month.
My current role is Senior Automation Engineer. Position offered is Test Analyst (Lead).
CTC Offered: 26 (24 fixed + variable)
One of my queries is regarding the Medical Insurance. As per the offer letter it mentions "Mediclaim Scheme with Floater Option of Self + 3 or Self + 5 with/without parents. " : INR. 150,000/- to INR. 3,000,000/-
Does this mean that without paying extra, the med insurance is just 1.5L?
