I’m an L6 SDM at Amazon but a Meta recruiter sent me an M2 sdm job description. I have all the XP I need from previous job experience but does Meta keep your same level as Amazon? Meaning if I am an L6 at Amazon am I automatically interviewing at M1 or can I jump to an M2?Amazon Facebook (Meta)

No KPMG Houston is weird. I have worked in many cities over my career and have never seen such a difference in culture at a big 4 than Houston KPMG. Realize I am PwC so may be discounted but it is a weird office here.
Can you elaborate a bit more? I keep seeing this sentiment that Houston is every Big 4’s “problem child” but I’m curious why. Is it the people?
OP, so you work remotely for another KPMG office but not for Houston? They’re not going to make you transfer to Houston? I think you should just show up for events that you’re invited to and start introducing yourself! I’m sure there will be some nice people.
Yeah but still. I can’t come to event and start talking to everyone each time. 😂. Just wonder if anyone want friends in kpmg Houston lol
I get it, it’s much easier to have people in your group that you know by default. But you might meet people if you show up.
I worked at KPMG Houston in SALT, and it’s really not terrible. (I’ve worked in other offices). Deep down they’re all the same. I’d recommend asking your PML (who likely has a lot of connections across the firm and in Houston) to connect you virtually with a few people in Houston that’s your level to help you integrate.
