I accepted a 95k systems engineer role in VA with KBR and is currently going thru a clearance.(MAY START DATE)
Northrop offers me 92k w/ 3k sign on which is 30 min from home in MD for an associate systems role. They also want to give me a clearance but it will start as an interim so I can work sooner than may. MY DILEMMA: Kbr states that they know I need money now so I can accept an offer with Northrop to see if I like it until may.BUT can I have 2 security clearances running at the same time?

I’m curious - let’s say you have a role to fill but they are targeting only female candidates to balance out the team. What recruiting strategies can i implement to meet those needs?

Is it bad manners or just a bad idea to go back to a recruiter if they got you a job that wound up being a bad fit?
For context, I don’t think they misled me. The job changed 3 weeks after I got hired, and got stuck in a role that’s just not a good fit. Gave it 6 months of honest effort and I’m ready to start job hunting.
I saw this recruiter make a post on LinkedIn, and I liked working with them the first time, and I want to reach out. But I don’t know what they’ll think.

I just wanted to reach out and let you all know I understand how tired and beat down we all feel at this point in the year. I’m feeling it too. I also know exactly how students can try us. Started a new job search about 2 weeks ago. Of the 14 recruiter screening calls I’ve gone through, all went amazingly well, and I’ve only heard back at all from 4 since the calls. Why?

We use Deloitte India for a number of parts of our delivery. Recently I have seen some unethical practices that violate labor laws and do not align with Deloitte principles. A quick note about what I’ve experienced, in my decade long career, is the real advantage of MBB or FAANG - it gives you a shot at stretch roles that are outside your expertise. Not all the time or even most of the time compared to better candidates with specific experience for the role but gives you this wildcard shot at a vast array of opportunities.
