Hi all....just checkng if I am at the avg salary band or lesser for my exp. I have 15 yoe in Support and IT operations with 24 LPA package. Can this be considered avg for the yoe. The reason am asking is many companies that i have applied for have a much lesser salary budget? Not sure if this is the reason companies so not consider for interview.....Tata Consultancy Infosys IBM Accenture Cognizant
Hi fishes! Nagarro declined the counter offer letter ₹33,00,000 + shares worth 4.5LPA
I've 6+ yrs experience (mobile dev.)
Nagarro offered 18LPA. Initially I told HR for 22 but he mentioned 18 into their internal portal to their senior so after clearing all interview rounds I got 18.
When I asked the HR, he told me to accept it for now and bring the counter offer letter so they can revise offer letter.
But now they declined. Weird.

A couple reasons. From what I heard, MF investment roles are essentially IBD 2.0, while portfolio roles would be consulting 2.0 but for smaller organizations. I'm looking for a role where I can do both, so as to round out my skill set. And speaking pragmatically, the MFs and many of the elite upper MMs have their pick of folks - non-MBB consulting just simply isn't competitive. I don't think I'll be getting but a handful of interviews and most of them will be somewhat smaller firms compared to the household names.
Mostly HH unfortunately (that's one of the real downsides of S& for me as we historically didn't do much PE work, though that is changing). In my city I can do a bit more networking but that's limited mostly to "consulting friendly" shops. However, almost everything ultimately runs through the HH anyway so you need to have a good relationship with them.
You obviously have a better shot than me but I too did not hear anything yet
2018 Summer. It is too goddamn early, but they try and one-up each other every year
Do you feel even remotely ready? I could do a paper LBO but I'd be absolutely destroyed by a timed modeling test
@OP have you gotten interview invites yet? Gotten a couple HH emails asking if I was interested in certain funds but no actual interviews materialized.
Sorry dude.🙁 tough season I guess. If you're a first year BA you can always do it again. Are you set on MF/upper MM?
Thanks man. Don't give up though - maybe Gobuyside hasn't reported it, but lots of good firms still haven't gone - H&F, Vista, MDP just to name a few. You might still get your upper MM firm.
At least you two get a shot at interviewing. The rest of us plebs will just be in admiration.
P1, admiration? Psh idgaf
Megafunds literally just launched yesterday, so everyone else will start following over next couple weeks/months
@Bain recruiting for this summer? Seems late. For next summer seems early
Yeah fortunately I have no interest in MF but one of the lower MM's I was interested in launched yesterday. A bit of a surprise
Are you guys pre-MBA?
I am
Anyone know if the MF do waves of interviews? They all launched last night
You should probably ask the HH. I've heard offhand that the portfolio groups of MFs (e.g. Bain Capital, KKR) recruit a bit later, but don't know how true that is.
S&- why did you go for MM instead of MF? Many people I've talked to seem to be all about the MF recruiting, with MM as a second choice
Interesting approach- makes sense to get a variety of experience. Are you applying mainly through HHs or through networks?
Good to know S&- thanks for the info. I'm in a similar position- non MBB without huge PE presence
