One of biggest piece of PM I've found is having expertise in the industry you want to become a PM in. If you are aiming for FAANG, that might be hard, but aiming for a Food & Beverage company as an Associate PM, maybe not.
The other major pieces are building strategy, driving execution, and influencing without authority.
Aim to change one thing at a time on the resume, whether that's job function or industry. While recruiters won't care, too much shift won't set you up for success in the role as the learning curve might be too high.
DM me. Happy to help talk through options.
Can I DM too? Been thinking about going into PM but a little lost rn
Yes!!
No tip cause I’m pretty lost myself. Trying to move from Retail management into a PM role
