Anyone else feel like the incremental effort required to move to industry isn't worth it given the perma-WFH situation?

For most, the move to industry is for WLB more than it is WFH.

like

I've been staffed full time on a FAANG client for about a year now and the WLB is awesome! That's the next best thing you can do before you land an industry job. Do a good job and likely they'll extend an offer to interview for them.

yes. was desperate for industry job but now with wfh things are honestly almost too cush, even if it is still consulting..and i’m about that life

I have an offer from UST global for the Bangalore location. Can anyone please tell me about the work culture and if work from home is going to be continued throughout 2022?

What has your experience been with wfh? Do you prefer hybrid, rto or permanent remote? For those of you who are permanent remote and living in subs, do you miss the nightlife/weekend plans made in bigger cities like hyd or b’lore?

Hi,
I have an offer with Citi, initially it was hybrid model and looks like they are moving back to wfo.. they told only now and I dont have any other offer in hand. due to personal constraints I need wfh or some flexibility types, but they seem a bit rigid as its not in their policy..
Is it good to join and then try pushing them for wfh.. or search for another offer..? 16 yoe, PM...

I am a Registered Respiratory Therapist with 5 years of experience in an acute care setting. I, also, have a bachelor’s in healthcare administration. I use EPIC at work everyday and I am interested in working as an EPIC analyst. I have applied at my facility numerous times for these positions with no luck. What advice would you all give for getting into this position? Also, do you know any remote positions available that I could apply to outside of the facility I’m currently at? Thanks!

I hold an offer of 18LPA from KPMG with joining date of 7th September. (Wfh)
I applied at Workday on 15th May and went through 7 technical rounds of interview and received a verbal offer letter of 21LPA (hybrid)
Now apparently their technical panel "forgot" about the interview and wants to have a discussion again as 8th technical interview. HR says their joining date will be 19th September.

Should i join KPMG?
