Anyone else get ghosted from Publicis? I got ghosted after 4 interviews. I followed up twice over 3 weeks and have gotten no response. Kinda crazy given everyone seemed to be really interested and I’d worked with the recruiter in the past. I get that jobs open and close a lot these days but seems unprofessional to just ignore.

You know what gets ghosted at Publicis? Good work.

Being ghosted from Publicis is God looking out for you.

Yeah that's the whole hr/resource management/talent team here. Theyre all like this.

likefunnyhelpful

Care to elaborate?

Yes except it was my recruiter (external recruiting agency) who got ghosted first! 😂
She said that I was moving on to the next round and waiting for Publicis Collective to schedule. Now, I previously worked with the hiring manager, knew him and the team very well, and was already chatting with them about the job on the side. A week later, my recruiter followed up with me to see if I knew anything because no one would get back to her after multiple emails. She was embarrassed and frustrated and me too. I had to work my contacts to find out what was going on, which was that the team lost funding for the position and hiring was put on hold. When I shared that info with her, another week had gone by without her receiving an update from Publicis Collective. How rude and unprofessional when they pay that agency to find them candidates. What a shit show!

Yes, I've interviewed with them twice in the past year and I've been ghosted each time.

like

So rude I’m sorry!

I used to work at the client side. Let’s call them client x. I now work for publicis but for a different client. When a position at publicis became available for the client x, I was excited to apply for an internal transfer. Excited to be working with my ex colleagues again. Hr told me they don’t think I have the right experience? Like wth. I was that client before I joined publicis.

likefunny

Yup. Great convos, was told I would have more calls set up with other team members then poof. Incredibly unprofessional.

Maybe they got hit by a bus. Have you called around to area hospitals?

I recently got emails for 2 positions, but I need to update my portfolio. Sounds like I dodged a bullet.

like

Yes. This exact thing happened to me. I had 3 interviews and even discussed salary with the recruiter. They’ve basically been stringing me along and they’ve been telling me “we’ll have an answer next week!” for like 4 weeks. I stopped following up.

This was end of May through June by the way

Yes, but with MSL under Publicis. They were in a hurry to schedule interviews and said everyone loved me, I would be a great fit and the interview panels want me on the team. We're now going on two weeks of no comms after I followed up.

Same here… it’s really just not that hard to copy / paste a form rejection email

Is Marcel still a thing there?

😡smdh

yep. talked to CDs and had great convos weeks ago. followed up with the recruiter and haven’t heard back. all while being patient with them rescheduling interviews constantly.

I got ghosted by them before, but that was a couple of years ago, after my final interview

Yup

Definitely. Starting to take it personal. 4 as well.

HR folks are not trained ... they are simply button pushers. Although with all that time invested you at least deserve the
"we have decided to move on" email. Bad form

I had the strangest interview experience there on three different teams--each one got weirder. The last one thought I was interviewing for freelance although I wasn't and never responded (which was fine, because it seemed like a zoo).

Yup got ghosted after my second round interview. Haven't heard anything in almost 3 weeks, Complete 180 from the pace of communication up until that point.

Hi Google - I am requesting guidance!

I am prepping for my interview specifically GCA and open ended questions. I struggle to tell if the outcome should be talking through your process/steps (maybe for a question like - how would you go about determining program complexity) vs a specific solution such as create x new product, for x market by x date based on my assumptions. Is the desired outcome something I can clarify with the interviewer?

Is it normal for a big4 to take over two months in the interview process? Since end of January I've had five interviews w team members, including with the partner who leads the practice I'd be joining. Still no word. I've gotten nothing but positive feedback with the in-house recruiter I'm working with. Is this normal? I'd love to work for this firm and don't want to be annoying :)
