My kids Pickle Rick and Chalupa Batman appreciate this question
Amateur! My kid is 😂🍆🤟💯. Obviously, it’s pronounced “George.”
I mean nick names. Not giving them a fked up name on their birth certificate
Agreed with A1, nick names are fun!
What do you mean by “make up”?
If you mean what I think you mean (creating a new word, or repurposing an existing word that isn’t a name, so calling them “Thirkon” or “Table”), then I think it’s an absolutely abhorrent and selfish act that says the person doesn’t deserve to be a parent.
They’re likely laughing at the thought of calling your kid Thirkon or Table 🤣
Meet my son Bangkok 🤣
Elon, when did you join Accenture?
All names are made up???? 🤷🏿♂️
Stuck to tried and tested, but not necessarily currently popular.
Same here. US SSA has a cool tool showing popularity of names over time. We picked what we liked first, then compared to the SSA site and saw ours were only like 20-100 depending on era, but are clearly recognized as names.
Our daughter has been peanut, pumpkin, bitty-bit, nugget, squish, and about a thousand names that are weird versions of her name. We will see how far into the teen years we can get with some of these nicknames.
