Really want to exit consulting, but all I have experience in is making PowerPoint slides for our cloud practice… Where should I look to apply? I don’t actually have any tech skills (besides the aws ccp) but I really want to leave consulting for something with better wlb.
Just signed my offer for a Product Manager role and ~100% bump in TC. After four years of being undervalued at Deloitte and two years of making it to final round interviews with no offers, it finally feels like it was all worth it. Hope all of you who are still searching get to experience this someday, and sooner rather than later. It can be done!
I see people asking here all the time for a referral. New to this. Is it much easier to get hired via internal referral? Does referring someone you've never met before not reflect poorly on you if that person isn't qualified? Internal recruiter/hr doesn't ask how you know the person or what you think of him/her?
Is the CCMP (certified change management professional) a valuable credential in the world of consulting? I eventually want to exit to an executive leadership role in Healthcare.
How do you all role out your ERG
Looking for others’ take : 2 months ago I interviewed with the hiring manager for an industry job (large company) that I really want. It seemed to go well and I was told the position is open, but I was warned the hiring process can be very slow. Radio silence until about 5-6 weeks later (I didn’t follow up at all except for the thank you note), when I was asked to interview with several additional people in the department…cont’d
Any fish familiar with Apple's OPD group? Thoughts on potential exit and expected base comp? MBA with 5 YOE, seems like it might be a step down from MBB Associate comp but tempted by tech exit and work life balance...
EY careers website is down for almost a week now. Really? In such a busy hiring season, EY is upgrading their careers website and that too with a week of downtime.
Should I be concerned for my career with lack of billable projects? Background: Analyst hired out of undergrad in July 2020. I have worked on 3 proposals in the last 2 weeks, and 5 in the last 2 months. In the past year since I was hired, I have 8 months of billable work which is actually slightly higher than the other Analysts I joined with. Should I keep collecting paychecks and hoping for projects, or is this a serious issue that should prompt an exit strategy?
Would you take a slight pay cut to make a horizontal move to a more interesting industry and better location? I recently decided to make a move that was an 8% cut but I’m excited about the role and better WLB.
What are the exciting exit opps in the GTA area like, specifically in the Tech space? Startups / FAANGS?
Can someone help me with interview questions for tax position at Salesforce? Do they ask tax technical questions or it’s just behavioral/ situational?Salesforce

Any consulting companies hiring? (I have one year of Financial analysis/business management experience) looking to do more strategy work. Thanks in advance for the help.
It's about LinkedIn (LI). I'm in non-marketing role, but am client/prospect facing. Less than 5ish Black folks in our startup of 300+. Presence in India. I lend my voice to promote my employer, but heaviest focus is on diversity, mental health & wellbeing. After my last post, our white VP said: "All [our CEO] is asking globally about everyone's activity on LI...by EOD please send #original post/#shared posts (last 3 months). Btw, mine was 36/45." 1. Wtf. Is this a thing? 2. Idea for response?
What are typical hourly billable rates from Big 4 for external audit services by role in New York or California?
How do people clean their homes when in a consulting career? I feel like I work long days and then clean. By then it's time to go to bed and repeat. Considering hiring a cleaning service.
Should I ask for a raise? My 6-month review is next week and I’m thinking about asking for a raise. I’ve never asked for one before and normally would never think of asking for one until at least 12 months but in the last couple of months my role and responsibilities have enhanced significantly. I don’t have much experience as this is my first job in advertising (comms background) and I don’t want to come off as naive or ignorant! Any advice would be welcomed. Thank you!
I have a question for HR/People Department leaders: For companies that are 1,000+ employees, what is your ideal HR/People Department structure? How many direct reports, and sub departments/teams does the CPO have, and what are roles are you hiring for (Traditional HR roles or more fluid/hybrid People Ops roles)?

For those of you who attended a FT MBA program, what did you do when you were not in the classroom? Besides traveling, partying, studying/homework, interviewing, etc. Were you often attending events to network, getting lunch with faculty, enjoying a hobby, something else? Thanks! *Repost*

Is it hard to switch from a non-big 4 accounting firm to a big 4 accounting firm? Also are there any jobs at big 4 that don’t require 60+ hours a week?
Has any of the MBB been doing much work in public sector since the onset of pandemic? Would they be willing to hire someone with exclusively public sector experience of +6 years and an MBA from Canada? Asking because during the MBA recruitment, public sector experience was not helpful as MBB didn't focus there a lot.
A former Manager reached out about an e-commerce manager role for a relatively young company doing $35M/year. The role manages inventory on the site (20 skus), CRO, and Analytics plus the e-tailers (Amazon). They launched a site redesign and CVR tanked, but from what I gather they have too much of a focus on Paid Social and upper-funnel tactics. They’re hiring for a Demand Gen Analyst/Manager from a different manager. So, the roles report into different people. Question below:
If I got offered a position at a big 4 firm for indirect tax. What do you think the appropriate counter offer would be? Do you think they would accept my counter?
I am completing Noogler period this month. I joined in January with 3-4 years of experience and Google offered me L3 Level and despite having other offers in hand, Google didn’t negotiate. And since Google was my dream company, I joined Google thinking I’ll ask for promotion in one year and do the hardwork. Till now I wasn’t having any problem. But now it starts mentally for me. So, I referred one of my friend from my same batch of college and previous organisation. contd. in comments!
Piggybacking off the manager post below. SA3 currently at 115k NYC. What kinds of exit opportunities are available for me? Should I stay for promotion? What would I reasonably get?

I am writing a piece on sexism in the corporate workplace. Covering blatant (i.e. salary) and subtle (i.e. excluding women from golf outings) instances of sexism. Would love to hear relevant stories!
When is it "time" to get an MBA? How do I even define and decide the right moment to apply?
We always talk about diversity as being important, which it is, but if you don’t have diversity of thought what’s the point. We’re selling products to the masses not our very small advertising bubble.
I get mistaken as a student at the school I work at. How can I establish my authority in the classroom as well as on campus?
