I was told I was the top candidate for a role after final rounds, but the role was impacted by the hiring freeze. Since then I’ve reached out to the recruiter but haven’t gotten any response (been almost 3 months). I saw a posting recently for another role that would be a good fit - should I reach out to the recruiter if I plan on applying?

I’m a new manager and got added to a new engagement. Everything is overmy head. Usually I catch up within a month. But this engagement is very very different. It will take me a while to get a hang of. The positive is that there is a lot of learning. But I had goals of being a sm in a year or 2 and I don’t see that happening in this engagement. My friend bought a nice condominium and his agent assured him that it had a garage. AFTER he signed the papers and moved in, the neighbors told him that the unit does not come with a garage. Can he sue the agent? He feels ripped off.

Should I move back to audit as manager?

I left one of the B4 as an S1 and joined another B4 an S2 in consulting. I have an opportunity to move back as an audit manager which would be an early promotion by over a year.

Would this move make sense if partner was a potential end goal?

Note: I don’t hate audit and could do it.

So here is my dilemma:
- based in the UK
- opportunity for lateral internal move (culture&engagement) or stay where I am (reward). I am mid level IC struggling to progress due to flat structure so considering lateral move then hopefully up from there.
- 2 primary aged children, currently have flexibility in current/new role too
- Husband just got accepted on a international rotation which means I will be single parent for the short term.

What to do? Go with the unknown or coast comfortably?
