Off topic: I am stuck in a service based company for last 4 years in a shitty project. The work I do can be done by a 12th grader. Now i want to move out by learning something new & changing my domain. But the thing is I am not able to study because I am stuck in a comfort zone and learning new thing gives me bad anxiety. It feels like I will never learn & be forever stuck here. Pls help on how to come out of comfort zone, learn things and apply for the job. Tata Consultancy Infosys Wipro

I do. Anywhere in the USA except California, due to the laws or something for some reason. I think you just have to have a home base somewhere for most of the year so they know what state to use for state taxes. A few of my colleagues work on the road from long family rv trips or travel the country in their cars working someplace different month to month, and they’re upfront about it and no one squawks.
As for international, people could be up at 3am in Europe somewhere and with the norm being using the company branded Zoom backgrounds I wouldn’t have a clue. No one has mentioned being abroad while working to me, but they totally could be. My company isn’t great about asynchronous work, but you could definitely block and flex your schedule as much as possible around meetings and schedule-send emails to make it maybe 50-75% possible to be in a non USA time zone.
I wish I was able to take better advantage of it TBH, but familial obligations with my parents, a pet, and my maximalist crap are barriers. Honestly, I’m at the stage in life where I’m looking for someplace different to move to, and it’s hard to know where’s a good place long term without a reason when you like many different cities for different reasons. If I found an in-person or hybrid job to make that decision for me I wouldn’t be mad at it, but then again I’m looking to move and settle for a few years not be nomadic. It’s kind of overwhelming to have so many options, and my personal style is liking the stability of my own place, setup how I want, without having to try and focus someplace new all the time.
