Have my closing interview with Accenture next week. So far the Director and MD I have met with have both liked me and the recruiter has said that they have both given me a thumbs up and that the upcoming closing interview with the MD is just a conversation. From my research I’ve also read that it’s just a sanity check to make sure I’m not a nutcase. Of course anything can happen, but I’m expecting an offer. (Cont)

Amazon is going to be dumping a whole lot of resources on the market with big tech on their resume.
to interview with more success. I’m sure my resume is an issue, but may be a larger problem with what I’m targeting and how I present myself for more senior positions? Any tips very appreciated!
Tougher job market with the tech layoffs so larger pool of qualified candidates available to choose from makes it so networking is more important nowadays so that is where I would focus first. Find some target companies and start networking even if there isn’t an open position now but start to get to know professionals in your area.
For resumes, I generally re-write or alter resumes based on what the posting is asking for. As you move up though, you want to highlight more of your management compared to doing. Impact is also important as well, does each bullet show a business impact, preferably if you can quantify the $$$ associated with it.
Appreciate the input!
We’ve spent the last few years pretty focused on my wife’s career getting through a PhD program, and are currently living in a smaller city. Both of us are pretty enthusiastic to move to a larger metro next summer, though, which will hopefully make networking easier.
