Anyone have any luck with those "upcoming 401k appointment" email solicitations?

Sounds like a scam. You pay for opportunity to get appointment, but no assurance on quality of lead and no exclusivity.

Waste of time and money

For real it’s a legit scam. Stay away I can dive into my emails if you like and post the names of the crooks and scheisters who are sending you emails if you like. I bet it’s the same bunch of people. I recall the name Cleo

If you want I’ll post the name and company. Lead companies these days are the biggest bunch of crooks they prey on advisors who think all it takes is spending some $ to get in front of people. It’s a scam caveat emptor. Which vendors ?

Any current/Ex IBM please guide me to Opt In/Out of the IBM's Medical Insurance. To start of there is a co share of premium for a base sum insured of 3L which comes around 1790/- Then skipping the benefits for a second if I jump on to the claim part there is a Copay of 10-90. Employee will have to bear 10% of the claim and insurer will bear the other 90%. For dependents 20-80 Copay. Are the benefits are good enough to consider copay and subscribe ? Please Suggest.

Hi! I have a few questions on the backdoor Roth in which I’ve done a bit of research online. When it comes tax time, will my 401k vendor (Merrill) give me the correct documents? I’ve just used turbo tax in the past but am worried of any documents I may be missing to adjust any tax. Also- when does the pro-rata rule come into play? I’m just nervous in the entire process as this is my first year doing this. TIA!!

Back again with a question for the McKinsey folks! 1. Is it true that if you are internal (specifically PD) you are not eligible for a performance bonus? Just base and the 401K profit sharing? 2. I know McKinsey offers a percentage of your salary into a retirement fund. The recruiter painted it as a range (from 7-12%), but other fish in the main consulting bowl said it’s either 7 OR 12% (no in between) based off of if you’re client facing or internal - which is true? I hate having to ask this question but I know a stigma exists around it: is it okay to look for/start a new job while trying to plan for a new child? If I start at my new job now, I will definitely be leaving for maternity leave before my first year is over. Perhaps this has been asked before but I’m new here and looking for some advice.

I'm a benefits director at a large company, and we're adding a fertility benefit starting Jan 1. It looks a lot like Deloitte's program (just noticing Deloitte a lot in this bowl), though ours will be slightly more generous with lifetime maxes. I'd love your feedback about what your employers do especially well or poorly, just to ensure we don't have huge blindspots as we roll it out from scratch. Honest feedback from people who are on this journey is appreciated!!

All of my friends and seems like everyone around is looking for a job change as I see on a average, everyone is getting close to 100% hike in new company, is this just a bubble, because hiring and job is wfh, or this trend continue even next year once the physical offices open up? I'm going through a bad FOMO, seeing everyone change companies and getting double the pay. Tried giving interviews, but many rejected me just because of my 90days notice period. What should I do?
