Anyone have the Emirates Skywards Premium World Elite Mastercard? Thinking of getting it for the perks on an upcoming trip. Would probably use on occasion thereafter. I’d love to see what you all think - it’s a hefty annual fee!

If you live in Dubai or travel via Dubai often (eg to India or other Gulf destinations) it might be worth it. Otherwise, there are better options.

Seems like they go all over though, right?

That’s such a long name for a card

That sounds like these Black Card invitations in my mail box

First time poster here!

After spending 4 years as a mid-level ops manager, I tried to break into HR through talent acquisition. Now after 6 years in TA, I've had a hard time getting out of it. My goal was always to get into a more broad HRBP position, but I've since worked for smaller orgs without a solid HR career path. When I ask about my career goals, they keep telling me, "Soon!" Or "Maybe in 6 months!"

I'm testing SPHR in June. Any advice for securing the type of role I'm aiming for?

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
