What’s the interest rate? With decent credit, you can get a rate below 3% right now.

Found 2.875 with pmi $73

In the process of buying a house now, I found that the rate I received when asking for the professional loan was higher than the regular loan amount, but a lot of it will depend on your down payment and credit history etc. I’d just shop around and ask for both

I think I'm getting let go tomorrow. Saw a meeting with PEP and an HR Person I never met before. Doesn't make sense, I've been 100% utilized since January and the client loves me and wants me until end of the year and beyond. Partner has never said a bad word about my performance. Doesn't make sense. I did submit snapshots for last year and he delayed and said well include them in next year. I hope he didn't fuck me. What are my options? Can I join the client?

Hi, I’m currently working as a paralegal for a bank and I am bored. Everything is so monotonous and slow, I feel under-utilized. The only time I am excited about work is when I’m helping the AML advisory team with requests so naturally I’ve developed an interest in AML especially DeFi and Crypto assets. I know it’s an emerging industry so I’d be happy to work in traditional AML for a fund or another bank.
Would love to hear from people who left the legal field for compliance work.

I’m billed out at $195 an hour. Assuming a 40 hour workweek (lol) I’m paid a little over $36 an hour (76k/yr) My realization is about 90% and my utilization is at about 110%. When I asked if my raised could bump me to 80k instead of 76 it was implied that I was out of my mind.

What’s the discrepancy here? There’s no way this firm is adding almost $160/hr in value to my work through software, workpapers etc. I just fail to see a justification for this big of a gap.

Hi Fishes,

Performance great. Received two applause in 7 months. Utilization more than 95. No compliance violation. But I heard from my onshore manager we have to spend 4 years at Con to become a SCON. As I have seen posts in this bowl I am pretty much sure it is 3 under normal circumstances.
My YOE as of today is 4. I dont think they should set my target year as 2026 or something. What do you guys suggest on setting my target year for promotion?
Thanks

To my Deloitte colleagues: I just returned from maternity leave, and while I’m very grateful I was able to stay home with baby for 6 months I’m really anxious about returning and my utilization (50% now). Have reached out to a partner for extra work but haven’t heard back. Afraid I’ll get fired.

Am I understanding utilization rate correctly? It’s chargeable time over total time? Charged 40 hours and had 10 hours non-charge so my utilization is 80%? If so, wouldn’t it benefit me to understate non-charge hours so my utilization is higher since they only really care about chargeable time anyways? Charge 40 hours still but only put 5 hours non-charge for utilization to be 89% instead of 80%? Or am I misunderstanding how utilization works?
