Are you aware of what internal audit entails?
What is "senior accountant for internal audit"...?
I definitely wouldn't do IA unless you don't mind being bored with limited progression and exit ops.
I have a friend who left audit for IA and loves it. Never works over 40 hours a week, the team is well liked throughout the company for being helpful unlike the external auditors (this is not true in every company), and there are upward promotions and exit opportunities to other parts of the company because you get exposure to operations and various departments.
Everyone says IA sucks but he left public with no CPA after three years and has the manager title and comp after three years in IA, still with no CPA.
Good work life balance, good company and benefits.
Idk what he will feel about it a decade from now but for now he is happy.
That said I would take the non-IA role.
