Anyone in here transition from the semiconductor industry to climate policy/sustainability? I’ve been an apps engineer developing customer recipes for high vacuum tools like SEM & FIB-SEM. Having trouble breaking into a climate policy role. I have a BS & MS in geology + 6 years in my current industry.

Does anyone like ID work? Currently doing work at a PI/Medmal plaintiffs firm while in school and trying to figure out where I’ll be happiest post-grad. I LOVE it, but don’t know if ID will provide more security. For context, I had a, albeit, short career prior to law school and will 30 when I graduate in May. Comp and WLB are important given my later start.

I’m currently working in due diligence and have a long term goal of moving into corporate HR. What skill sets would be most useful and what books/ thoughts leadership should I read to develop into a HR leader?

Focusing is not an issue for me once I’m locked in, but I’m struggling to get there because I haven’t finalized which idea to focus on.
