It's an inter company transfer from abroad, usually at Experienced Associate sometimes at Senior Associate level.
🙋🏼 That's me
L1B is specialized knowledge. There are 3 types of L1 you can apply for if you worked as : an executive, a manager and if you have "specialized knowledge"
I was just curios how easy it is to get the specialized knowledge one and what are the requirement besides working outside of US for a year
It's actually depends on the market needs. If you have the quality and specialty they're looking for, they'll take you any day. Took me only 1 month to go through entire process + visa application.
@pwc3: what group are you in?
@PwC4: Risk Assurance
I see. And what level do you need to be? Senior or above? Or that doesn't even matter?
I was a senior year 2. They typically want more experience people, i.e senior or above in order to sponsor the visa bc the legal fee and visa are expensive. You'll get a green card after 3 years, faster route than H-1B.
Yes that's what I figured. I'm a staff 1 now so I'm guessing I would be able to apply for it in like 2-3 years. Do you need people from US to request you? Do they just say you have specialized knowledge in "EY methodology" or something like that?
Have a chat with your local partners about the intention to move or join the Global Mobility program. If it's not possible, ask them to connect you with the Partners where you wanted to move to. But first establish good relationship with your local Partners, it's your golden ticket! Once they vouch for you, you're good to go and you did not even need to interview with the HR.
