Anyone interview for an Apple GSM role lately? Any advice or questions asked would be greatly appreciated

So I say this with complete humility and an understanding that this is a fortunate-ish situation to be in. I’m in a position where I am tied to nothing, I have no children, spouse, or house. My job, which I’ve loved until some recent significant leadership changes, is sucking the life out of me and I think it may be time for a change. Because I am able to “pick up and go” I’m open to opportunities and locations. I’ve never worked with a recruiter but was hoping I could get some recommendations!

After you interview for a job is it acceptable to contact your interviewer on Linked in or is that like stalking? I don’t have another contact and I want to follow up with them but I don’t want to be annoying.

What’s the best way to turn down a 2nd interview? During the 1st interview, I learned that the compensation for the role is not within the range that I am looking for and requires 400 more billable hours a year than what I bill now. I’d basically be laterally for my current salary just to bill 400 more hours. I also wasn’t aware that the local office was strictly ID. Firm website advertises lots of practice areas. Any advice? Any tips for internal interviews for a title bump, but also to be on different team/client?

I was told to expect a written offer from one of the Big4 soon, however the HR team has stated that they are experiencing a back-log and will get back to me as soon as they hear back. I have been following up for the past 3-4 weeks and can’t help but feel nervous that it won’t fall through. Has anyone been in this situation with the Big4? Can they ghost you if they have already given you an offer (via phone) and you have settled compensation and start date with them verbally?

Have interviews with a couple of MBB firms in the next two weeks for generalist positions; currently a new analyst at Deloitte. Would Case and Point be the best use of my time to prep for cases, if I’ve never seriously done cases before? My Deloitte interviews were all high level tech and my computer science major was more than sufficient to complete these.

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

H1-B transfer question

I recently accepted an offer to join a company (A) . They started my H1-B transfer and I received today the approval notice for the transfer.

However, I accepted last week a (better) offer at another company (B) and they will start soon my H1-B transfer.

I attend to tell company (A) on Monday that I will not be joining them. Will there be any issue with company B filing for a H1-B transfer soon?
