I'm currently working as a learning specialist/trainer for a large organization for the past 8 years, making a literal over $53,000. The past two years I have been training new employees training courses that last 5 weeks. My department is transitioning to a platform where they want learning specialists to create content and short learning videos to support the business line and I assume eventually replace the training. Due to a recent company-wide increase and additional pay for bilingual direct reports I am only making a dollar and change above them as their supervisor. I was hired into this position in March, having been the first employee in this department. I really tried to get them to budge on salary, they did not, but shortly after accepting they gave the whole company a dollar raise.

Is there any advice for networking into projects when you don’t know many people at the firm yet? I always to help on BD work when I’m on the bench, but it never turns into any billable work.
