Anyone take the PMP? I signed up for a bootcamp and debating how much time I need to devote outside of class for it.

^ Rita Mulcahey. Highly recommend

I did the bootcamp at DU then studied for 2-3 more days. Passed easily

Read the book front to back, then skimmed front to back a few more times, took the practices tests, reviewed the correct answers pages, and practiced writing out my cheat sheet...you are given a few blank pages at the testing center so if you know your formulas and knowledge areas you can write them down for ease of reference...all of this will help you pass from Rita Mulcahey

Just read Rita's I forget the full name but it's a great study guide. Found that reading this guide a few times was far better than anything else and passed my first time. Highly recommend it

like

@EY1 they are provided in the Rita study guide I mention. There should be 1-2 practice tests

like

I've been told that you're fine without the boot camp if you study for a weekend so it probably depends on how much you pay attention

@SM1 Did you buy a book or were the training materials enough to pass the exam?

Following p

Had mine for 12 years, that test was a bear

Following

Did the successful test takers read Rita, or did you do the exercises, take tests, etc that the book says? I'm trying to get a sense of how much effort I have to put in with busy client work.

D3.. where did you get the practice tests from?

The book WAS the training material

Community, I’ve been meeting with a lot of people regarding next steps in my career. One of the best pieces of advice I received is to avoid micro-managing executive staff (agency leadership), as it puts downward and unwelcome pressure on people’s managers and ultimately oneself. Based on your experience in the last 2 years are there:
- Agencies you would steer clear from because their leadership micromanages
- Agencies you would recommend because their leadership gives you room to grow

Thx 🙏🏼
