Any plans for MLK day? I’m off tomorrow. 🥳
I got a call from HR and offer discussion was over couple of weeks back and still waiting for them to send me final mail to release offer. May I know if they take this much time to release offer, when I did a follow up call after 10 days they said they are waiting for some approval to release offer.
Any ideas i still have chances to get offer? BNY Mellon
How are we all holding up? Such a quiet bowl.

Their tax dept had a mass exodus this past year. I don't know the why, just that we got a huge influx of applicants at our firm all coming from tax groups.
Can confirm. The small firm I am working at now hired 3 EY peeps. They all said EY was “hemorrhaging” and losing people. (This was about a year ago.)
Very strong and well regarded tax department. It is a smaller office feel in that people all know one another. They have real busy seasons but people are in it together. Overall it is a well run group.
From NY. But have lots of respect for my EY Boston tax peeps.
Depends what group you go into. Commercial audit is pretty standard, FSO audit is longer hours and harder, advisory is a very close knit fun group, tax works really long hours and the staff and seniors sometimes feel like they’re being treated like children. Several people have left the GCR and FSO teams to join PAS due to better flexibility and work culture. Unclear whether it’s warranted but that’s what I’ve heard.
Not what I meant! I’m sure it’s fine I just only knew two people who left a while ago
GCR is pretty intense. If you are into the work long hours or you don’t belong here culture then there you go.
