Applied for a job as a PMO Analyst at a Bank with the range between $80K-$90K. (Final Interview is on Monday) I live in San Antonio with a low cost of living. Have an MBA (regional) and my PMP.
I don’t have much work experience because I just finished my contract with the military. Is this a good salary for this role and are there any career opportunities to branch into as far as leadership positions for the future? I don’t need health insurance so as far as total comp salary’s my only interest

More!!! Push for more. I work in Dallas so MCO and make $100k. Have a masters degree and not much work experience lol. Also, military experience should count as work experience, especially if you were a leader

PMO analyst for a bank I imagine translates to a coordinator role. If so given it being San Antonio I think your about right for salary.

like

Would y’all recommend taking the role and riding it out for 1-2 years then applying to MBB or Big 4? The hiring manager told me during the interview that they were building the PMO from scratch and i would be one of the first on the team. Also said that my role would be keeping PM’s accountable & on track of projects being funneled through the PMO. Basically a lot of governance and allocation of scarce resources from my understanding. I’m medically retired and don’t necessarily “have to” work, but I’m bored out of my mind and want to start a 2nd career.

like

Take the job if you like the salary. There is potential for the position if you are first and build it out. You also have the possibility to jump to other positions at bigger companies. Gotta start somewhere.

Great role would recommend doing it

like

Good role based on the experience and quals you've shared, but would def push for low $100k.

How hard is everyone pushing their corporate clients to authorize nonresident assignees whose only 2020 US compensation was the value of their 2019 tax preparation?
My clients are pushing back on it this year, and I can't say I blame them. If I were in their shoes, I'd rather take the risk of not filing than the expense of filing again. From my own point of view, I don't really want to spend my time on such returns, either, even if the revenue and easy return are nice.

Hey CDs and ACDs: when you were mids and seniors what do you wish you'd had to help you grow and get to the stage you're at now?

I'm a senior AD and all the resources out there are for juniors. I'm not sure what I need - I feel pretty confident in most areas - so maybe all I need is time to practice and get better. But is there something you did/wish you'd done to improve your abilities, develop your career path, or open your mind?
