Applied for a three positions at EY-Parthenon got denied to all of them. Position is for SD, one especially being for Automotive sector. I live in the US currently, but have 7 years of EY experience (SM) in another country and being Head of FP&A for 2 major Automotive companies in the same country. Currently in major food producer in US as SM for Strategic Finance. What am I missing here, not even a call for an Interview?

How does the referral system work? Should I apply from the website and then ask for a referral or is there a chance to ask for an employee to refer internally? Would the latter option be considered ahead of the first option?

Friend of mine was supposed to receive an offer (told verbally) from Deloitte and then just found out they are pausing on hiring the role. How common is that? Seems wildly unprofessional that none of the partners called and instead it was the recruiter conveying that news. At McKinsey, if that happened, the head of the practice or the office would personally make the phone call at the very least.

Hi, just wondering how the staffing situation has been in strategy consulting in general? My sibling started a job in strategy in Silicon Valley 2 months ago after MBA. She has been on the bench for 2 months and was informed that there has been a shortage of jobs (within the job) and the amount of people on the bench is getting high.
