Applying and interviewing for a job these days feels like I’m running for president or being screened for the CIA. When did finding a job become sooooo difficult??

Same here. The job market is flooded with applicants and there is so much uncertainty in the world, so businesses are moving slowly.

Same! It’s exhausting

Been looking for 6 months, good luck out there.

alot of the people that are getting jobs are usually over qualified, competition is rough and theres under and unemployment

Exactly the same. Based in London. It is terrible. Been looking for quite some time now.

I believe AI took a lot of white collar jobs

Hate to say it but this is not a new thing. Hang in there, be diligent, attend networking events in your area of interest. and reach out to recruiters and any contacts (no matter how big or small) to try and find openings that are not advertised. Good luck and feel free to cold call me with a resume if you are a CA attorney.

Hi All,

I am a full stack developer with 4+ years of experience. My tech stack is node, react, AWS. I am looking for a job change. So I am giving interviews for both frontend and backend. But whenever I am facing interviews, i am getting to know about a lot of new things which I was not aware of which is making me feel depressed ? Because I have knowledge of a lot of stacks but don't have knowledge of anyone in depth making me feel insecure now.

Wanting to switch from litigation to in house. What should I make sure I do before I start applying? Do referrals from someone inside a company matter that much when applying? I'm burnt out, I need an escape from billables. Help me out!

Hi Sharks,

I am done with the L1 round this Monday (26th Sep) and got a response next day over email with the Subject line "Interview Feedback for L1 Interview", in the email it was mentioned that we will get in touch with you shortly.

How much time will it take any ideas?

Should all the on-site interviews have a feedback of "hire/ strong hire" in order to proceed to HC?
What if one of rounds was not up to the mark?

I have a phone screen interview with AWS for the position of Systems Engineer with the Linux team early next week. I’ve been a Sys Admin for the last 4 years, and I’m not very well-versed with coding. The phone screen does have whiteboard coding, any tips on what I could do to prepare for this? I’m not sure if I can let the interviewer know I’m not too strong with coding. I do want to take up the challenge, and also find out if the role would require extensive coding though. Any tips?
