Hey eveyone, what are things I can do to increase my odds of getting hired Google (Internship)?
2 weeks back I applied for the Business Internship for 2022.
Meanwhile I was trying to connect with team mates who are working in the specific location I applied through LinkedIn. I emailed a guy asked can I ask him some questions, he said yes he is happy to. But after I sent the questions no reply, it's been almost a week.
My Resume and LinkedIn is massively improved, thinking what else can I do?

The recruiting process for bcg will be that they will never contact you and everyone here will tell you to get an mba from a m7
I don't think 1.5 years in strategy in international company is going to land you above starting level in any Tier 1/2 consulting firm (maybe Big4?) unless you network very well and absolutely nail the interviews. Hence your process won't be too different. But that's just my 0.02.
Yeah being in a strategy firm for 2 years, the biggest things you learn are structured problem solving, dope deck building (which I really do think is differentiated from decks we’ve seen from our Mc counterparts), and excel basics.
The process will be mostly the same as non strategy folks maybe even harder because they expect you to NAIL the interviews. We definitely had higher quant expectations for interviewers from other strat firms
For BCG, likely quite similar to the college recruiting process. First round with two case and fit interviews and final round with three case and fit interviews. You’d likely come in as an associate (the post undergrad role). You could try asking for tenure credit to come in as a more senior associate, but I don’t think you’re too likely to get it (and you’d then have a shorter runway to get promoted to consultant or leave)
For OW, the process will be the same as the undergrad process, ie 6 interviews (Personal fit plus case)
I’m aware I would be starting at a lower level position was just wondering what the recruiting process at these 2 companies looks like for off-cycle hires not coming from undergrad. Looking for more specifics if anyone has gone through this?

2. Get a call back from recruiter
3. First round interviews
4. Final round interviews
5. Offer
I was also off cycle experienced hire so most of interviews were just me (i.e. not super day type)
