Dont take the job, if your relationship starts off like this, its not going to be good....
Did you resign because of the original offer letter? If you have no damages, you have no case. If you have left a job based on the offer you received, and was then rescinded I would think you have cause, and I would seek proper legal advice.
Yes I left my chef job on cruise ship cause we are having our first child and just because better living situations. I had 3 different interviews agreeing to the 1st offer letter I was sent the hiring process took over 5 weeks. Put in a month notice because I figured after the second interview when I got told wanted 1 more interview I said sure no way I'm not getting hired after they've said yes to my salary and showing me office and giving me tickets to see football game
Wow. Never heard of this! I’ve heard of rescinding offers but never like changing the amount… did you ask HR why there was a discrepancy between the original offer and the lower offer? Aramark is a huge company so HR might just be confused with people. I would go back and say you’d only accept at new offer and see what they say?
There’s not much you can do but don’t accept a job at this point
Unfortunately you probably have no case. They can offer what they want and it’s up to you to accept or reject it. You would have a case if you actually started work and the pay was less than what was agreed upon
Happens to me too was told show up to an interview at 8am got a an email at 7:30am that they promoted someone internally
A very similar thing happened to me.
I was let go of my job making 52k a year, just literally got my promotion to be making 55k. “Oh btw. Your account is being shutdown. But the only job around you’d have to take a 22k pay cut if you transfer” 🫤
Aramark is the worst company that I've ever worked for! In The Indianapolis Market Center, the management team is horrendous! The management team talks about the associates behind their backs constantly and the management team has family working there and shows favoritism as their family members constantly piss off customers but management covers it up! The District Manager is a clown and has no clue of what a circus the Indianapolis Market Center really is! Customers are constantly disappointed with Aramark Refreshments.
