Hey, I’ve been working at an agency for 10 months. Tbh the low entry level salary in marketing is getting to me. I live in a high cost of living city. I hate having to work from 9-6, sometimes skipping lunch(not paid for lunch hour), and working overtime for no over time pay. Is it worth sticking it out or switching fields? I didn’t have the best childhood and want to be self sustainable faster. I’m not a quitter but my mental health is not in a good place. Would like some advice. Thanks!

Secondly, in the recruiting brochure maternity leave is separate from parental leave. Can you take both of you are the primary caretake for a total of 4 months?

If there is a silver lining to COVID it’s that we have the online infrastructure to continue working from home. If the virus happened a decade ago we would all be out of jobs and it would be a Great Depression. The internet keeps our productivity at a level where we can keep our jobs. Us keyboard heroes need to do everything we can to support essential workers because they do not have the luxury of working from home.

I have 2 toddlers who are both in daycare & I am 7mos pregnant. Obviously, my toddlers aren’t vaccinated and neither are any of their friends at school. I am vaccinated, but have caught covid twice - the first time hospitalized me and was very very scary. I hosted my husbands anti-vax family for Christmas and caught it again then. My husband invited them to visit in the next few weeks after I said I was done hosting anti-vax ppl until after the baby comes. Is this the hill I should die on?

Anyone feel avoidant about certain foods? About 6 weeks or so, no nausea or sickness but certain smells I can’t stand (i.e. eggs, steak). I’ve found myself nervous to cook the salmon we just bought because I don’t want to hate the smell and end up wasting it 😭
