Are consultant skills desirable in industry especially if you're a generalist? I'm having trouble marketing myself because I am a jack of all trades, master of none and the few roles that ask for consulting experience are really competitive... I'm at a Tier 3-4 consulting firm and can't get any interviews.

Accepted offer to leave consulting (3 YoE, no previous lab experience) to join corp strategy team at biotech, any advice on what to do during the first couple of weeks?

Question for yall. How likely is an offer once a company decides to do a reference check? I know I am in the final 2, from context clues in interviews. I just dont want to get my hopes up.

I finished a third round interview, and HR contacted me that afternoon saying I had positive feedback across the board and they would contact me the next day regarding next steps. It’s been two days and they finally get back to me saying they haven’t been able to sync with the hiring manager but will keep me posted. Honestly I wish they would talk with the hiring manager and then let me know the decision instead of checking in. It’s messing with my emotions.

I have an interview coming up for BCG but due to some personal reasons might need to push it a few weeks. What’s the likelihood the firm will be OK with pushing / is it even worth asking?
