I think the number of people that really want to WFH all the time is wildly overestimated. Time will tell.

It’s hard to see the how students right out of college will gain core consulting skills that only come with face-to-face interactions with clients and other colleagues. Same goes for experienced consultants looking to develop further. Will be interesting to see how this “policy” shakes out in 5 years time and if the majority of people like it then as much as now

I heard Trump and Biden actually wanted to be Deloitte associates. But they didn’t make the cut so they ran for president.
Mayor Pete could’ve gone all the way but he only worked for McK

But it’s still Deloitte…
Exactly
I saw the original post, it wasn't by a Deloitte person but some startup founder who's product catered to remote working.
They could just be liking the fact that we're going remote-first (even tho I doubt we really can in client facing roles). In my 2 years here, I've honestly not met a single person who seriously believes Deloitte and MBB are even close. It's just a meme.
Well, it is harder to get into than Harvard, which is why everyone will just go there and get in easily???
They were first to become THE MOST ARROGANT.
All the best people want to be remote-first, right?

Is Deloitte really going remote first permanently?

@SmartPOS1, think about how much $$$ clients save without having to pay for consultants to fly-in 4x a week. Of course, it might be a diff story for local clients.
Why are so many of the LinkedIn/Twitter business gurus so ignorant/just plain wrong?
Yes, classify an entire group of consultants (50k) based on the comments of one practitioner who posted it and a few that liked it. Hope you don’t craft your deliverables utilizing that line of thinking.
Signed,
Deloitte consultant that knows where we sit on the “prestige scale” and is perfectly happy that it’s not MBB or whatever the hot name for the second group of firms that are “objectively better” than Deloitte
Deloitte: “hay guyz - do you, we think you can figure it out on your own”
Some random cloud solution start up guy that has literally nothing to do with Deloitte and doesn’t understand the consulting industry: “OMG LOL JEDI MOVE OMG LOLz”
Oddly triggered consultants: “Such Arrogant! Blah blah blah Deloitte India blah blah BIDEN Blah blah Harvard meme lulzies!!!!”
Weirdos.
Harvard jokes are still funny though
Hard hitting comment from Avande ….. lol
A4 it’s all some people have lol
I remember that post.
Yes they are that arrogant.
Yes they lack self awareness.
A lot of hurt feelings in this thread; calm down kids. Most Deloitte people rolled their eyes at that post too.
It’s not really a policy; this has always been the deal. Do you guys seriously have a policy that says you have to be in the office a certain number of days? Most will choose to spend time in the office but will also appreciate the explicit trust the company has given them to make big boy / big girl decisions based on their particular circumstances.
Yep. McK, BCG... are not even in the Ivy League!
Lol no. Deloitte doesn’t treat homegrown talent well, people are leaving.
If you really think making staff USDC resources just to cut cost will sway the balance of the talent battle, hah no.
Wasn't LEK doing that pre-pandemic anyways?
ACN has been doing it forever. I hardly see my team once in 6 months for a team lunch. Deloitte is notorious for exaggerating stuff. You never know they start firing people next on the pretense that now they have become unproductive...lol.
Also, why is nobody talking about the 200% bonuses they gave this month to save their firm's existence. We have been poaching their resources left and right since last year at 50+% hikes on average. Deloitte India's attrition has increased to record levels and their leadership didn't even execute the retention right. People are leaving now with big fat cheques in their hand 😂
This is NOT true for the US. You will have flexibility but knowing many PMD's in Deloitte they will push for more client-facing. If being remote is the only objective look for other places .. there is no jedi move here :)
