I received an email from the HR at Monitor Deloitte that I've cleared the case round and a back to back discussion with partner and director of the team will be scheduled. Been almost 3 days since this email, haven't received asking for availability from the scheduling team. This for a role with their Lifesciences Strategy practice in the UK. How long do they typically take to schedule the final round of discussions? Do they eliminate candidates in this round?

Literacy has collapsed. There are too many distractions. It was becoming worse and worse pre covid but post covid it’s a done deal. Kids lost a few years of learning during the pandemic and now my 8th graders are reading more like on a 4th grade level and acting that way too. The average American reads at a 6th grade level. Their phones are vastly more interesting to them than a book. Look who they voted in as President. The point is, it’s not surprising that teacher qualifications have eased. Where are they going to find teachers when our whole society has become aliterate?

So true@FMS1
First of all, you can't believe things on social media. There's a well-organized campaign to destroy public education in America, and disinformation on social media is at the forefront of that. The next few years are going to be pretty grim for teachers, the mindless political attacks are just going to get more intense.

No fact checking anymore on meta and it never existed on x. What over half the country gets fed misinformation/lies/noon-truths daily w no check. We’re going down fast as a society
The article you shared states very clearly that it's not true. Just read it.
From what I’ve read, it’s not about skipping literacy tests entirely. The new law seems to eliminate one specific test that many argued didn’t accurately reflect a teacher’s ability to educate. I think it’s about balancing rigorous standards with practical, meaningful ways to assess qualifications.
