How is it not a raise. That’s your new minimum base every year going forward
Subject Expert
If I were Milbank, I’d do away with the “special” bonus starting this year and just fold those amounts into the regular year-end bonus going forward. That way, when it’s all said and done, the increase in base salary and year-end bonus would amount to a meaningful bump in overall comp.
But it’s all speculation at this point obviously so we’ll just have to wait and see.
It’s great because everyone will get the increase even people who miss hours!
You do a good job on your matters, be a good human being, treat everyone well, and work with people you like. Doesn’t mean I’m billing 1000 hours either, but I haven’t billed 1950 hours since I was a third year.
If I were Milbank I’d add it to my base salary. Milbank pays bonus to everyone anyways so mind as well put pressure on lower PPP firms so they either raise base salary or no longer be market. I always wondered why they don’t do that.
