Hi everyone, I have 2 years of experience in a service based industry as a Java developer, and I am eager to work hard and switch to a reputed product based organisation, but I am not getting proper time to study and practice data structures and algorithms, as I have so much to learn and understand things which are related to my project. Any suggestions would be appreciated and I'll try to inculcate it. Thanks in advance! Amazon Oracle Samsung Microsoft Cisco Salesforce Arcesium Uber

McKinsey & Company I am joining the McKinsey & Company Boston office in late July and searching for housing in the meantime. If I could get some insight on the ratio of days in the office vs work from home that would be super helpful!

At the Associate/Consultant level, 98% weekends protected. Have maybe only been on a project once where the timeline was so tight that the team had weekend work (outside of work you might want to do to get ahead).
As a Project Leader +, a lot more common especially if you want more flexibility in the weekdays (i.e I logoff on Fridays at 2 and take 2-3 hours off an evening while waiting for my associates, and then work 6-8 hours on the weekend)

This is my experience, too. In two years, have had to travel a few Sundays for Monday meetings. Usually travel is leave Mon. Return Thurs. In same 2 years only recall 1 weekend.
Generally yes. With exceptions. Diligence ahead of staffing (eg is this a new client, a new PL, has OPPL worked together before, is OPPL known for burning teams, and so on) will help, but as a new hire, you are also at the mercy of whatever project will staff you. You need to build a strong reputation before you have any leverage.
lol I’m a C who always works at least 2 hrs on a wknd
Because the fastest way towards building trust is end to end ownership, meaning a few hours of upfront planning before the week begins creates clarity and alignment upwards.
