Anyone recently received a tax manager offer from EY ? I’m going through final interviews and want to see what your experience was like (negotiation process, initial offer higher/lower than expected?, did you give them a salary expectation range? How long did it take from final interview to offer etc) TIA!PwC EY KPMG Deloitte

Is it really so bad? I’ve accidently had a client meeting by myself without the partner because the admin didn't notify the partner. Lol
Established a relationship with the client and maintained point of contact.

This is smart
Just make small talk. They won’t bite
Doesn't bother me. I also joined the field around age 34 so I'm as old as some managers or senior managers anyway. You don't have to talk work before a meeting starts. Ask them where their from or something. Take advantage of it and meet people. It's what will help you develop your network and might lead to an exit opportunity.
As someone who was on the other side at one point don’t worry they know who the important players are and if they are cool they will make small talk or just say hi and stay on mute.
Your managers don’t give you the joke list for this situation? You’re supposed to get that list so you can read them off and entertain.
I stalk my managers status. I will not join until they become red in a meeting. Sneaky me me

Hello, it's good to see you again.
What have you been doing lately tell me now.
Same as always, I can't believe the way time flies.
It must have been a million years ago!
I mostly enter all my meetings before 5 minutes. So the SM/M are mostly late due to some calls. I get a full 5-10 minutes alone with the Principal. So we talk something generic like corona situation in respective countries, feedback about my work, and problems I am facing with my work etc. Basically whatever comes at the top of the mind.
So no jokes? Bad move.
I suggest the moth/podiatrist joke. Classic.
PwC uses Google Meet, and you can see who is in the meeting before you join.
Cool
I just talk to them haha not a big deal
