As the visa situation is blocked, can the clients not simply tolerate more remote working for the time being? I don’t see a reason for them to push absurdly for it if the law doesn’t permit to come to the client’s site

Does anyone have any company recommendations for where I could reasonably expect to earn $80,000+ in a remote role in the US? Colleague has put in his resignation. They are offering him whatever he wants to stay including 4days a week work from home. He’s not bluffing and plans to leave.
