Stress is consistent but you stress over different things. For me, my stress changed when I left the big firm.
My MIL once told me that if you wait for the “right” time, you’ll be 50 and that comes with its own problems.
Thank you for your response. Yes, I am thinking to start the IVF process soon.
I’ll let you know when it happens. Accounting was a bad choice.

Don’t let your work determine when you have a baby. Do it because you’re ready and want a baby. Work will always be there to get in the way. If you’re in public accounting, the work will change from delivery to sales and management as you progress, and that brings a lot more stress.
Thank you, yes we have decided to start our IVF process soon.
When I made manager it got easier. I have two children now. However, had to go on a flex plan as I couldn’t weather the hours while maintaining my family. I’ll be able to go back, but getting up in the night, diapers, spending the kind of time that children under 2 really need is extremely difficult on a full time PA job unless your partner does everything and you spend no time with them, which is not ideal for most.
I too am planing to go on flex hours. Maybe 80 or 60%. I just was not sure at which stage it would be easier. I don't want to leave work completely and be lost in a few years when I want to have a full time job again.
Thank you so much for your response
I would also like to start a family but very torn and finding time between getting my CPA/ studying and working at big 4
I am in the same boat. Now, I am thinking of going on ahead and having a baby and going on a flex schedule. Maybe 60% and also study if I have the time. We have to do IVF, so the process will take a while since we don't know how many rounds it will take.
Thank you for your response, and good luck!
