Word of advice, jump when you get an offer. Don’t wait, bird in hand is worth two in the bush.

+1. When you get the opportunity, do it. Optimizing “time to exit” always fails. Same as trying to time the market

Thanks for all your advice. Made the switch to Amazon and more than doubled my TC.
Great story, happy to hear this!
Out of curiosity what’s your Years of experience?
Wtf OP?! Then why are you still there?! Go lookout for yourself.
Amazon over 4+ years typically pays much better than EY.
If you are an SDE or a TPM and can get that kind of job, you should take it.
How much do mangers at EY make? Your negotiation leverage depends on that
They cannot ask your comp, but given that we all work for large consulting firms, it is relatively standardized (more or less). Plus, they use a variation like “what is your expectation”
Jump the ship

If possible wait to manager (that’s my understanding) because it’s faster to reach manager in consulting vs industry
You should switch. I joined EY with 13 years of experience at 140k as a manager. Within 2 years I got 20% raise.
