What is success?
Chief
Given that definition it’s not that hard. You could do that with a $150k income > totally doable in our industry
It is what it is. Success is a marathon and sometimes it’s not worth the mental strain to stress about things that aren’t in your control. Just keep doing you and good things will come your way.
For me I’ve been doing it a very long time and it has never gone away. You can fake it on the surface but deep down inside the feeling lingers
Yes all the time and it likely won't go away regardless of how "successful" I am. I found it helpful to identify where the stress / worry comes from - is it a real fear or due to some internal insecurity? It gets easier with more experience - out of undergrad I was constantly worried about failing or not achieving income goals or ability to provide for family. 6 years later experience has shown me that a lot of the fear is in my head only - I went to a top uni for undergrad and sacrificed a lot to build a strong resume, I'm objectively highly employable in the US and have a good network.
But I grew up in eastern europe and my family was below poverty line for most of my childhood. This fuels an irrational fear of landing back in that situation somehow, and impostor syndrome. Having some mentors, friends, and colleagues who can provide a realistic assessment of your competitiveness and get you out of your head - pretty much to tell you you'll be fine, very much helps. Also if you're feeling insecure, applying to jobs and interviewing just to remind yourself that there are opportunities out there and you can get them. Also build your network - the more people you know and organizations you're familiar with, the more safe you will feel in having a backup safety net.
If all that fails, focus on becoming financially independent via passive income streams.
Nope supremely confident.
