That doesn't sound very high to me for NYC... what are you at now? Level?
Accenture just seems to pay so much more for cyber security consultants
At senior manager level it seems like big4 pays better
I'm interested in making a move to Accenture. Cyber senior consultant with a TS and cissp.
@A1 I'm in Houston and just got on bench. You need help with anything. I'm in digital identity but have background in cyber defense.
@op acn cyber values people that can talk tech one minute and then roll up their sleeves the next and deliver (or configure) what they are selling.
If that sounds exciting then move over. If not....stay at kpmg.
Pay isnt the only important thing
For reference, I live in Houston and my starting salary 4 years ago was 78k
I just finished my first year and I'm $63k in NJ.
Accenture is known for having higher starting salaries than others. But our salary progression is a bit slower so it all evens out at the end.
I guess it's so you attract talent early?
Remember that Glassdoor is the average for the level, which includes 2nd Years and experienced hires.
Also, I had an offer from Acc Federal tech consulting for 75k. As A1 mentioned, Accenture pays more starting out
At what level does it start to level out with big4 salaries?
I wanna say manager. I'm a 1st year at 130. Doesn't the rest of the big 4 earn 150ish?
Yeah they look to be about even at management level according to Glassdoor
Deloitte post MBA SC makes 145k
Is it worth switching to Accenture or should I just stick it out here if it will even out?
Are you unhappy where you're at? I feel the only reason to move through the lower levels is if you need to, otherwise you come out better in the end if you stay.
NYC and SF analysts get paid more than other cities, for consulting and technology (cyber security is tech analyst I think) for the past year it's 85k in these cities, 80k in others
Im underpaid for my field and location. I'd jump for the bump
I'm a first year cyber security analyst @81k out of ATL. Security is considered "hot skill" by accenture and salary raises and bonuses are much higher when you are considered hot skilled by ACN.
