I have received a offer from Cerner for Technical solutions Analyst role. It's a support role on SQL and work timing is 5pm to 2 am. I was checking the reviews on Glassdoor and ambition box and i have read alot of bad reviews on management and dirty politics. After reading all this I am concerned if i should go ahead with the offer or not. Please advise how is the work environment, does management support learning and is their dirty politics within team? I was fired without any notice!! There were no issues with my performance or compliance so caught completely off-guard. Neither my counselor or project managers are aware of this

D2, it’s just the threat that matters. This happened to me at RSM 5 years ago. I was there for 9 months and suddenly they laid me off. I threatened to consult a lawyer and refused to sign any paperwork. HR offered me 1 year salary and asked me to sign a resignation letter

The firm had a banner year. Surprised they would lay anyone off without performance, utilization, or compliance reasons.

Thanks guys! I did manage to get a job offer from EY and KPMG based on my network but still this just feels highly unfair and disturbing !!
P1- he’d have to prove 1) that he complained about something that would cause retaliation and 2) that the termination was retaliation for that. Very hard cases to pursue.
All this happened within a span of a week so wanted to check if there were other ppl sailing in the same boat as me. Nobody would fake anything like this !
Yep never sign the severance that day, always state that you will have your employment attorney review and that your attorney will be in contact and handling all future correspondence
Yeah it’s called at will employment and they can terminate you at any time. Best you get is unemployment benefits but those are gone if they can justify cause- which could be anything from submitting time late to an unauthorized expense. Trust me- this system is rigged against you.
