Baby Professional here - I was just given the second half of a promotion into Tier 2 for my company, on course for a Tier 3 promo in the next 6mo to 1yr. It's a smaller company and I believe they are willing to pay to grow my talent as I've already done very well with deliverables and all metrics thrown my way.

My questions is how much do I ask for at the Tier 3 promotion? Since they divided the Tier 2 promo into two smaller rasies, I've landed at 55K. I want to ask for an appropriate amount.

My boyfriend's father passed away and his mom wants to live with us "temporarily". She currently lives in a different city and is going to move.

I do love her and we get along. I've flown over multiple times to support the family and do what I can to help (clean house, run errands, coordinate with funeral home).

However, the idea of living with her fills me with dread and anxiety. Any thoughts? Any suggestions?

PwC Fish - I’m considering where to have a baby, either the US or Austria (I currently live in Vienna, but thinking to move home to the US). What’s maternity leave in the US? How much does it actually cost to have a baby with our insurance? In Austria, I can take up to a year off, but only receive €2,000 a month from the government 😳… I don’t think there is any paid leave through the firm. Pregnancy through birth costs are pretty covered by insurance though. Would love your thoughts!
