As you can see from these replies DO NOT TRUST FB when your money is on the line. Ask HR for all their rules around vacation days.
Yes. You get paid for unused vacation days. I think it gets taxed a little differently, but it’s always a nice little bonus when you leave.
Hahaha nope! You forfeit everything. Which is why you should take all available vacation before you give notice. You can’t take any vacation here after you give notice
Depends on how your vacation policy is set up. If your company has you accruing days vs if you are awarded all your vacation days upfront
Keep in mind that if you work for an employer that gives you access to your whole PTO at the begging of the year, you may not get it all if you quit right away. For example, let's say you get access to 2 weeks PTO on Jan 1, if you quit Jan 2, you won't get cashed out for 2 weeks of PTO. At least I don't think so.
I didn’t when I left the NY office, had accrued half of my time for the year (used 0), but got $0 when I left.
I’m pretty sure you only get those vacation days paid out if you are laid off. Check with HR.
