AP 1 - So you are suggesting that full year bonus should be based on the current designation.
Scenario 1 - Go from PL1 to PL2 on Dec 1 2020, you’ll get full year PL2 bonus for 2020
Scenario 2 - Go from PL1 to PL2 on Jan 1 2021 so full year bonus for 2020 is based on PL1
So just 1 month of difference in tenure will create a massive difference in bonus. See how it doesn’t work
Prorating helps ensure that your bonus for the PL tenure is uniform regardless of when you go from PL1 to PL2. Same for promotions
