Is there an “acceptable” amount of time you can take between your recruiter screen and the next round of product sense interviews? Does it matter if you’re interviewing for a specific team?

I’ve always gotten the advice that when you want to switch jobs you should take interviews from places you’re not actually interested in, so you can understand your value in the market and have better negotiating power.

I’m doing that rn - took a couple interviews to gauge my skills, my market value, and see what I need to work on for interviews that I actually care about.

However, I feel really guilty about wasting their time and going all the way knowing I’ll just say no at the end. Wwyd?

Quick one, Is it okay to always ask for time to collect thoughts before answering questions during case interviews or should we shoot from the hip? I stutter naturally so speaking without a bit of time to collect thoughts can be hard.

I heard that the cool off period is six months. Does that apply to my situation because I didn't attend any interview.

Can I use referals to apply before 6 months? Or should I wait for 6 more months?

Interviews with a private credit / direct lending / distressed real estate group have been going on for 6 weeks and now I’m waiting for the the final decision. They said that they’ll review the case studies and make a decision soon but does anyone know how soon :((( I’m so tired and exhausted and I really want the job so much.
