Seems that Fearless girl was made by unfair men.
“It became the financial world’s most iconic symbol of gender equality and won 18 honors at the prestigious Cannes Lions, including four Grand Prix” http://www.adweek.com/agencies/financial-firm-behind-fearless-girl-will-pay-5-million-for-allegedly-underpaying-women-and-minorities/

What your missing is experience and perspective. It's unfortunate that a lot of the content/responses on FB come from seniors that have been FDD practitioners for less than a year. No analysis in isolation is rocket science; however, performing a full scope of FDD analysis on a complex business over an accelerated timeline is difficult. Running a meeting where you have 4 hours with a public company CFO to understand all the critical issues is difficult. Negotiating NWC mechanisms with an aggressive target/bankers is difficult. Learning Alteryx/Tableau/PowerBi in your spare time so that you can get threw analysis quicker is difficult. Turning around SPA comments for lawyers in the middle of the night is difficult. Catching all the errors that young seniors make while getting your own work done is difficult. Go run your first deal and come back and tell me this is easier. Sometimes new seniors are sheltered from the above and given very simple tasks until they can earn the trust of their team. Sounds like you need to expand the scope of your contributions to your team.
Idk I’m just an SA, but after a year and a half, I feel you. It feels relatively easy once you’re comfortable.

I'm a director, it's not that hard. you probably think it's much easier than it actually is as you move up, but at no level is it brain surgery

You’re still generating revenue in audit lol but margins are higher in advisory
On the Tax DD side and definitely agree. Nothing we do is rocket science. Much easier than Compliance, as ppl aren’t expecting precision and for K-1s to tie to the $. Just painting the broad strokes.
Hey can I dm you? Want to talk auditor here
No you aren’t missing anything. That is spot on.
Pay still seems a bit low for hours, maybe just my experience. Also it’s very accounting focused while a job in Corp Dev will encompass entire deal
Yea true I’m a senior 3 and I see my friends who are managers are pretty steady 60+. That’s also when others I know then left to Corp Dev. You leave as a manager and become a senior in the company, but if you’re able to break into a F100 then your pay will likely be better and overall more interesting work
