Interviewing with Apple next week for the roles of Global Supply Manager (GSM) and Worldwide Procurement Analyst in Austin. Does anyone have any tips or advice for the interview? What kind of questions do they ask?
Also, what’s the compensation like in Austin specifically? I would think the compensation would be different than Cupertino. Anyone have any offers or salaries for these positions in Austin?

Depends on what you want in your life now... Do you need money, or do you need flexibility and a slowed-down environment? I have had both, and it was all about timing.. It worked great at different times.. I have a little family now, so flexibility means everything to me. So, think about what is most important and make your decisions based on that.
Both jobs have flexibility, one is just less stressful and easier. We could have a 3rd baby with the other job, if I stay in my current role I'm not so sure as I feel lay-offs are imminent and unstable
I get your reasoning and it sounds like a good idea so far as it goes. I'd be concerned about a few things, however. Firstly, I'd want to be assured that there's some chance for advancement. And I'd be concerned about being bored in the new job. When I was young I lost an interesting job and took a boring one, and it was okay, it paid the rent. But I was bored stiff and it really bothered me.
Ugh that is a lot of layoffs in a short time. It sounds like it does have some good perks. But the pay would have me worried.
