Been @ Uber for just about 3 years. In June I started a new role for a product that is just beginning to launch in the US. It's Ent sales and OTE is $180k. Previously, I was selling to SMB. Around the same time I was interviewing for the new role, Amazon reached out to asking me to apply for an SMB job. I made it through ($190k, no commission), and ended up turning them down (mainly bc of culture.) They reached out yesterday offering me $250k (no commission plan until '23). What would you do?

My group’s billable hours have been low the last few years, so making partner will be nearly impossible, and a counsel position is not viable long-term in my group. What’s the best option here if partnership is the ultimate goal? Try to get a NEP/counsel position at another firm, which is likely difficult in my market, or offer to take a class cut by a few years?

Started at a big firm in July with high hopes- in the career path I wanted and I would be joining with other new grads.
After onboarding, it’s as if my team forgets about us every day. The training is non existent, there doesn’t seem to be any initiative to invest in new hires, my manager scolds me for not knowing enough yet gives no direction. I don’t want to waste time (colleagues mentioned it doesn’t get much better from here). Do I embrace the suck or look for other opportunities?

I have my performance review today but I already know I did not get a promotion. I already have a job offer waiting and this really sealed the deal for me. My question is, what’s the classiest way to quit while still showing I’m disappointed? I want to quit on the spot but I know that might now be the wisest move. Any advice?
