Delta Math!
Gimkit !!! It’s like Kahoot on steroids!! So fun!! The kids beg to play.
I will have to check this out, thanks!
Edpuzzle let’s you mix video and practice to engage students
I like quizizz too. You can turn the timer off if you’d like.
Goformative.com for independence practice. It takes a little while to get use to it but my kids like the immediate feedback option. They will actually ask me if the practice is in goformative. After I teach, I let them practice and I walk around. They use expo markers to write on their desk. So I only help when they type it in and get it wrong. Usually I have them work again in a different color and find the mistake. It’s been my best tool this year. The kids on zoom like it too because I can see if they are getting them wrong
That’s a great idea! I’ve been using GoFormative regularly this year and I was unsure how it would work when the kids come back full time.
Zoom! My favorite is to close the app in the middle of speaking and shut down the class I expectantly. Then I open the session up again and find out who really was working along with me.
Yep, the students love Kahoot! (There have been times that I played along with them. Rare, but always fun!)
I actually did a "Getting To Know Me" (the teacher) Kahoot! on the first day of school where I put questions about myself and they had to guess what was the correct answer.
Vocal kids love kahoot, I can't stand it. the focus on speed, and quick answers tends tends to devalue reflection. Also there are not so vocal kids who really don't like it because they always feel humiliated by it.
Quizziz and Blooket are AMAZING!
edpuzzle. Geogebra are both big to me
Gimkit is excellent - but to me it’s for a quick fun review. The kids have to get questions right so they can play the games. (Which they love!) Lengthy application math problems don’t really work, but quick questions do. Quizziz is awesome for review and can be self paced with multiple types of questions. (Short answer, mult. choice & mult. select, ordering, etc) It also has classes so the kids just log in and see assignments without needing a code. I normally assign Quizziz for remediation. Classkick is helpful if you have PDFs of your assignments - you can see the kids working in real time (works great with iPads!) Nearpod has some great features, but to get the best ones you have to be on a paying plan. (Or you used to. My district pays for it, so I’m not sure of the offerings for each tier anymore.) I like that you can send questions to their devices and they can take a picture of their work to insert into the slide as a response. It also has integration with Desmos and other websites built in. All of these can be used in class or remote!
Quizlet, Kami, Crash Course, videos, math by 5 videos, Eddie Woo videos, everywhere app
Quizizz, Blooket (Quizlet turned Quizizz) kids live it, Quizlet
Nearpod allows you to choose Draw it and see them work though a problem. You can then share it with the class. I also like their collaborative post-it note board, because I can review comments before allowing them to post. I like IXL, Quizlet and Woot math
We use whiteboard.fi and nearpod
