Anyone working in Pharma industry?
Hello Deloitte 🐠 20 YOE. Have referral for a content and marketing M role in cybersecurity -- the focus of my career pivot. Submitted my application today, but my referrer isn't in Cyber. Interested to widen my Deloitte Cyber network to get my resume in front of a human, since ATS has no vision or imagination. If you're willing to connect, please DM. So far, made it several interview rounds into roles with EY and Accenture. Optimistic, but want to be as proactive as possible. Thanks!

Screw the certs - take training with wild wild west anti syphon
They have a soc core skills class that is really good and is a "pay what can" course
I would like to promote CCNA, but you would gain a lot of knowledge from the Microsoft certs for networking or the cloud architecture from AWS and Azure. Besides these which are tech oriented you could also go into Enterprise Architecture as a means to really understand the information flow in organizations. These are not that recognized but valuable.
You could go for Network + or Security +. Alternatively, if you are up for the challenge and seek deep knowledge on network security, you could learn in the weeds by going vendor specific (like CCNA).
Another thing to consider is the why. Why do you want to learn network fundamentals? Cloud is hot right now and you may be better off following the trends and pursue AWS or Azure certs.
As an old networking guy, and current cyber guy, I would add that knowledge has been very useful when clients claim that they can't secure their MPLS with DMVPN overlays and claim it's due to technical reasons.
Oh, and network security and visibility within kubernetes and container clusters using Calico/Flannel/NSX/SDN is still useful for DevOps. Maybe a Palo Alto or Tigera Calico certification?
CompTIA security+ is a good option to start with.
CCNA
Network+ for basics, CCNA if you want a deeper understanding
A CCNP Security would be a good move if you want to get the network knowledge. Or even a CCNA
