$0 annual fee so you'll never need to cancel it and can keep your credit history. I'd recommend starting with BoA or Chase with one of their Cashback cards

Once you get more comfortable with credit cards you can then start targeting certain cards for certain spend categories. But for now, I would keep it simple
BOA cash rewards and put 3% on food. Most young ppl spend all their money on food

I started with the Discover student cash back while I was in college and then got the American red world elite Mastercard and then AmEx Gold. Chase Freedom Unlimited is also a really popular first card if you can qualify
I use the amex blue card for groceries (6% back), citi card for restaurants (5% back), discover for gas (5% back), and wells fargo for everything else (2% back)
Capital One Savorone - 3% back on food and groceries
Capital One - Quick Silver. 1.5% - no international transaction fees
Chase Flex - 1% forever, 5% categories, 5% travel through chase, 3% dining.
Citi - double reward - 2% on everything.
